TILT BACK LIGHTED LICENSE PLATE FRAME

This unique billet license plate frame is illuminated for the custom bike builder who desires to French-in a trick taillight or run a custom taillight without license plate illumination. Milled from 6061 aluminum this chrome unit will add a touch of class to any custom bike. This assembly includes our backing plate, rubber block with hardware, custom light housing and license plate frame with chrome button head and acorn fasteners.

Did you know running a Side Mount vertically rather than horizontally is now a ticketable offence?

That's why we never caved in to pressure to build ours in a vertical design, I had heard this was coming.

Here in Nevada a friend just got a $230 ticket and Daytona will be issuing a $1,000 ticket for vertical plates, really ! ! !

 

A common use for this trick little item is to keep passersby from bonking their shins on your custom side mounted license plate. All components are machined from 6061 and 7075 billet aluminum and chrome plated. Three kits available: Softail's, Swing Arm Motorcycles, and a Weld On Tab for custom applications. Combined with any of our backing plates listed and you have one the finest and certainly the most heavy duty side mounted license plate on the market today. Concept by Ron Rupp, manufactured by Badlands.

Badlands has designed a new 1/4" Steel Mount, Heli-Arc Welded to our new axel spacer (See Arrow in photo on Right)  that sits between the Swing Arm & Pulley. This attaches to our Folding Hinge that accepts either our LED Plate Illumination Only Frame, Cat-Eye or Radiantz Oval. See Below.

1928 Ford Taillight Side Mount

    

Our newest Side Mount Backing Plate Assembly comes with this Retro 1928 Ford Taillight. This assembly fits either our Folding Side Mount Hinge or our Non Folding Mount for Swing Arm Bikes. Choose from super bright LED, where both top and bottom sections are illuminated, or an old fashion Incandescent light bulb, where only the bottom does run, and the top portion comes on for brake. Both styles of lights come with license plate illumination window. You can also choose this assembly in chrome or in black finish. Includes backing plate, license plate frame, light and hardware.

FOR NIGHTSTER, DYNA, V-ROD & SWING ARM MOTORCYCLES USING A STANDARD ½” SHOCK BOLT.

 

Not liking the factory side mount thingy on your new Nightster, Dyna or V-Rod? We have designed a mount that attaches to the lower shock bolt. Then the backing plate with led lighting illumination lighting, bolts on and follows the line of the shock, for a clean, tucked in look. Also fits any other model using a ½” shock bolt, for those who desire to relocate their plate frame. also available in 2 other versions which hold a taillight.

"Whiskers" LED License Plate Frames  

"Whiskers" License Plate Frame with new super bright RADIANTZ LED strip lighting
and redesigned "no see em's" clear lenses.

Chrome plated or black powder coated, milled from 6061 Billet aluminum assembled with the WHISKERS style lenses and LED lighting in Red, Amber or Red that Turns Amber when the turn signals are activated. With the Red that Turns to Amber, you can have either Run and Turn or Brake and Turn. You can run the Red LED's and our Illuminator for Run, Brake and Turn Signals. Unlike others on the market, you can see these RADIANTZ LED's a mile away. Comes with our new "No See Em's" clear lenses that blend into our beautiful chrome plating. Halogen bulbs made our turn signals the brightest signals on the market in their day, but LEDs have surpassed the halogen bulb by 3 times in brightness. Now you can retro fit your whiskers license plate frame with the same LED strips from RADIANTZ that we have switched to in our new whiskers license plate frame. Simple to install and unbelievably bright, everything you will need to make the switch is included in this great kit! They come in amber, red or red for running or brake that goes amber with activation of turn signal button. Also comes with our new “no see em's” redesigned clear lenses.
